Earlier in April we took a road trip to ECGC. While we were at this serious and important conference for game developer, we some how tricked fine and upstanding members of the development community into talking to us about the evolving market, monetization, beards and even Space Jam. The above interview is one such occurrence.
It would be really silly of us to pass on this game for Game Club. Bioshock Infinite has a reputation just based on the Bioshock franchise to not hold punches as far as the story is concerned. And that's what Game Club is all about. We're not sure what the game has in store for us but it will most definitely make us feel something. Make sure to tune into our twitch channel at 9PM EST on April 26th to figure out how exactly it affected us and to let us know how it made you feel as well.
The third episode of Game Club got a little deeper than usual as we explored the world and meanings in Dear Esther. This month was definitely Brittany's favorite game so far as she beat it 4 times to get prepared for it. And we all had different takes on the game which made for a great discussion while Bryan and Jairus decided to fight about consoles vs. PCs in the back ground.
Did you catch our last episode of Game Club? Then you know the deal already. We've played Dear Esther already (well except for Jairus because he's a bonehead) and we're going to start sharing what we thought and how it made us feel on March 29th. Chris Hutcherson will be joining us as we change up the format a bit. There is a little bit of technical stuff to talk about and most of it is just the history of the game. So instead of standing awkwardly in front of a green screen we're going to actually play the game and talk about it while we play through the entire game. We might run out of things to say but you can experience the game with us. It's a quick two hour experience so it's the perfect game to play through. Make sure to tune in to our twitch channel at 9PM EST on March 29th.
If you've watched our last episode of Game Club, then you already know we plan on playing Bastion this month. Unfortunately the time we announced on that episode will be incorrect as we prior engagements are conflicting and it's been rescheduled to February 15th at 9PM. Make sure to follow us on twitch.tv so you don't miss it! Thankfully with a short month we're playing a short game but that doesn't mean it's short on meaning and involvement! Just like every game for Game Club we made sure it's something special. So if you haven't played Bastion yet, you should check it out as it's nearly available on anything. You can even download the game for Google Chrome. If your like me and have already played Bastion, play it again to get refreshed before our next episode as we'll dig deep into the characters, settings and music that gives it that Game Club special touch.
